Top speed in a standard power chair is about 9-11mph, 15 on the 'speedsters'- big whoop! Our folks with head injuries who use them go down a big hill here every day as fast as the chairs will go- yippee skippy.
The way they are designed, they do not coast down hills or pick up any additional speed.
