Yes. Gay people deserve to be miserable just like the rest of us....LOL. That was a joke I heard somewhere. But seriously, yes they do. Consenting adults should be able to marry, have kids(or adopt) and live happily ever after.

yes I do...the people who are objecting to the marriage are the ones who don't want it to be a religious matter. But gay people can already get that. There are churches who marry them all the time. Gay people just want the right to say what happens to their children and their spouse. (for example: hospitalizations and wills). They are a couple and they should be allowed those rights, too.

Yes, it would be nice if you are allowed to make decisions on behalf of your significant other, not a relative who barely sees them and may have disowned them upon finding out they are gay. I have a gay friend out in California and it would be a shame if he were sick or dying or something and his boyfriend was not allowed to make decisions for him. His parents are in Illinois. His husband should have the final decision, not his parents.

YES! Here is why I think gay marriage should be legalized. First of all, it is clearly stated in our history's literature that there is a "separation of church and state". With that said, marriage is a legal process. In the United States, you are not obligated to get married in a religious place such as a church or temple. You don't have to have any religious affiliation in your wedding, it's up to you if you want to get married by a Priest, Minister, Rabbi, Preacher, etc. Second of all, even if you do get married in a church or temple, you still have to sign LEGAL documents. Getting married by a religious figure won't be able to override the need of getting legal papers filed and approved by the state, so marriage is a LEGAL ceremony...it's only as RELIGIOUS as you want it to be. With that said, it's logical that Gay people should be able to marry since most of the people who oppose Gay Marriage are religious advocates.
I'm Catholic, I go to mass every Sunday, but I think it's only fair that homosexuals have the same rights as heterosexuals.

I say sure. Not being a religous person, I therefore see no problem with it, not to mention I am not a homo-phobe either. But I can see the arguement from the religous side, where for centuries marriage is meant to be between a man and woman. Guess it depends on which side your on, but from my side I say yes

I'm a married heterosexual woman. I believe people are who they are at birth. If your gay then your gay. They should have the same privileges as the rest of us.
