Genies are originally from Arabic mythology, and are a race of supernatural beings known as Jinn. As to whether they really exist or not, and whether you'd have a hope of finding one, can't say, but here's the link to some basic info on them:

Genies are real and you can find one according to my personal genie at Hawks Nest State Park Lodge, Hawks Nest.

My Genie says look there and also at Tudor's Biscuit Word on 323 N Court St, Fayetteville.because there are pretty popular hangouts for genies looking for new masters

I am wondering if you mean fairies, or divas? I have seen them for years, have even touched one. I always see them as tiny lights. My son use to see them as full out tiny people, and gnomes too.
Where I live, they live in abundance- they seem to prefer the woods- we saw them in California and Oregon (not Arizona desert).
A funny story- years ago, I was living by myself and began to notice my jewelry was disappearing. After a number of things went missing, I began to place it right next to my bed before sleep. I would wake up, and sure enough, it would be gone! Finally, I got really ticked, and started hollering at them that it wasn't funny anymore, and I wanted my things back-RIGHT NOW!!! As I was raving, I was running through my tiny little house (rooms allowed me to run in a circle), around and around... and suddenly, right in the absolute middle of where I had just been running through my bedroom, was all of my "missing" jewelry, on the floor in a pile. Believe me, I just sat down and laughed, cried and was totally amazed all at once. I didn't really believe in what I was seeing until then. No, it didn't fall off a table or whatever- I had just gone through and looked everywhere for the hundredth time right before this happened. After that, they would just move things from here to there. I suppose this was really funny to them... so yes, I do believe. I would think they would be there as well. Have fun looking!

One little thing also, the Djinn are desert demons, bound by Solomon. They don't really like people, and one of the dangers is, even when the grant wishes, they will work really hard to pervert the things, just because they like it...

in stead of a Genie Go to God for you wishes, or prayers. He gives freely, you need but to ask. That is also to find him if you do not believe in him.

I like the idea of elves, but they aren't real either.
