Okay I have Mayo Smith on the ball and sorry I don`t know baseball too well so if I misspell something I don`t mean to disrecpect anyone ok. Also I got this ball from My Uncle who was a Batboy for the tigers and the ball has been in a case all this time never even touched.

I strongly suggest getting it authenticated, for insurance purposes if nothing else. If your uncle is still living, have him write a statement about the ball; if he has any Tigers payroll records or other proof that he worked there (work schedule on Tigers letterhead, thank-you letters, dated photographs of him in batboy uni with some players, etc.), that sort of documentation only improves the ball's provenance.

James Spence Authentication is widely recognized as the gold standard in sports autograph authenticating and grading. I have never used their services and so cannot recommend them, but take a look at the website (link below) and see if this is something you might consider pursuing with JSA or another company.

You appear to have a highly appealing item of sports history in top condition. Consider it valuable and treat it accordingly.
