Did you jump start vehicle alot before you fixed battery? may have damaged ECM (computer) or other components..
Cleaning and replacing battery usually won't cause a no start condition, I assume vehicle cranks over fine after battery replacement.

apparently your battery cables are corodded on the inside under the rubber coating, replace the battery cables and life should be good again.

well the corrosion might be under the rubberized coating or inside the cable itself. this is where you need a test light or a meter.......you need to be able to test for proper voltage. oh do the headlights come on bright ???
