Male polar bears can weigh as much as 1300 pounds. The females are smaller, the largest of them being only about 600 pounds.
The Kodiak males can weigh anywhere from 300 to 860 pounds, with the females coming in somewhere between 205 and 455 pounds.
So, polar bears are bigger.

While you might have a specific polar bear being larger than a specific Kodiak, the Kodiak species is the larger of the two in general.

They are the same species, polar is a walker like us ex chimpanzee's-gorilla's, orangutang's- I have had to use them for food, and find all kind's of difference's, theKodialk is the third largest bear, being compactly built, the grizzly (northern kodiak) southern Polar, is the largest in weight (kilogram's and length width and cubic) the polar is the longest, but it's more like human's in that it's a walker stalker spend's it's time on ice and like human's, developed longer limb's..the strongest, fast, cunningest, is probably the polar,It's also smarter and agile.
