Put the CD in the cd-player in your computer. Itunes should see the CD - it will show up in the sources area on the left side of the screen. Click on CD and the songs on the CD will listed on the right side of the screen. Drag the songs you want over to your library. You will see a little yellow/orange wavy thing next to each song during the transfer, and hear a tone when the copy is complete.
Some CDs depending on old they are, won't show the song names, you will need to enter those manually. You do that by right clicking on the song, "get info", "info" tab. If you want the album cover art you can go to any web site (amazon.com) that would sell the CD, right click - copy picture, back at iTunes right click on the artwork area under get info.

First put the CD into your computer. It should show up on iTunes. Sometimes it helps if iTunes is already open. Import, or drag, the song to the place called library. Let it import the song. Then drag the songs to your iPod.

I got a free iPod Video from this site. All I had to do was sign up and complete a few simple online tasks, and that was it! Highly recommended.
