What would you do to decrease Global warming. For eg We need more energy efficient and less polluntant form of transport. Fossil fuels cause carbon dioxide which pollutes harms environment. An alternative is electric or solor, wind panel cars.

I would rather see live polar bears than the stuffed one in the museum. It would be a shame if they become extinct.

Yes, it’s true. Nature does this from time to time (definition of natural). While there is fairly good evidence that we are helping mother nature along, the UN has also determined that if all pollution were to stop now, it would not stop global warming EVEN IF MANKIND WAS THE CAUSE. Electricity largely comes from coal. Batteries are not good enough for solar to work. Something has to make the cars move for wind panels to generate power. The power comes from moving things, which means the car would burn more power to get power - and more power then would be created. Ethanol uses corn (in the USA) and no technology has been developed for grass, etc. Corn is an animal feed/food crop and if all farmland were turned over for this use, not enough could be made to power all cars. The bottom line is it is a good thing to curb pollution as much as feasible for health concerns but rather stupid to do it because of global warming. What we need to be doing is thinking about ways to lessen its impact on us socially and economically and making the best use of its advantages.

I'm offering my solution: It has been said that the temperature on Earth is getting hotter. In Al Gore’s; "Inconvenient Truth," I heard that a footnote stated; “The Sun is getting hotter” (I have not seen the documentary or read anything on his findings). In DVM’s; "Inconvenient Fact," I heard that the temperature on Mars is getting hotter. At this point in time, I know of no humans living on Mars. Why is the temperature on Mars getting hotter? The Sun is getting hotter. How can we stop Global Warming? Keep in mind; I’m not saying that the Sun is the only reason for “Global Warming,” we have all polluted the Earth. Reducing pollution and conserving energy should be a goal of everyone. My SOLUTION for Global Warming: NASA sends a “Sun Shield” with memory metal into space. When deployed, the memory metal will stretch the shield into a large circle or a square. The space shuttle’s astronauts will put the shield into orbit at a location that will block some of the Sun’s rays over a spot on the ocean. This will decrease the Sun’s rays that hit the Earth. Thus, decreasing the surface and ocean temperatures. Because of the decrease in ocean temperature, the number of hurricanes should decrease. Yes, there are more benefits. The size, number of shields, and locations need to be determined. Again, we all need to decrease pollution and conserve on energy. DVM May, 2007 (Yes, this solution is being sent to decision makers)

Sadly, the only way to have a major effect on global warming is to get a large enough amount of people to become aware of what it's doing to the earth. This is an almost impossible task unless you plan on taking action in a matter similar to that of Gandhi or the like. The world needs to know now that the earth is dying, always dying, and the only way to slow it down is to change our ways. Stop using cars so often. Use non-fuel reliant means of transportation such as biking. Stop littering, garbage cans are there for a reason and if you're too lazy to move your butt over to one then, with all due respect, you're a disgrace to the earth. ALL WE NEED TO DO IS START NOW!!!!!

We don't need all those polar bears anyway. A few stuffed ones in museums is plenty. And if we can grow corn and peaches all the way to Alaska just think of all the benefits. Maybe Greenland can become good for something.

It seems that global warming is real, but they real question is; is mankind making global warming happen or is it unrelated to human activity? I believe that we should err on the side of caution and take prudent steps to reduce our production of greenhouse gasses. Only really neanderthal type conservatives oppose doing nothing about global warming; even president Bush stated that it is a problem, though he proposed no meaningful plan to deal with it. Making Ethanol from corn is a hoax; a fake solution which only benefits farmers and raises the cost of food.

I am glad that you are concerned about the problem and that you are willing to take action. AL Gore is going to sponsor concerts this summer all over the world to get more publicity about global warming. Click on the links below for more info.

If global warming is really happaning as fast as it supposed to be goin, why has the overall tempearature of he world dropped over the past 8 years. Al Gore would never show you that!

When the big meteor hits we'll have the next ice age. So, don't worry about global warming. Worry about stopping the big one.

If polar bears become extinct you can enjoy viewing albino bears. They are white too.

I ride a bicycle everywhere I go, my house is 100% solar, and I have 15 pet polar bears.

Global warming is a myth and we all know it.
If you are going to call it anything call it "Global Weather Change" because that is what it is. This has happened for billions upon billions of years and it is going to stay like that.
