"Don't not" means they do. It also means they "do not" know how to speak very well.

why people say the opposite of what they really mean is beyond me! I don`t know. Only THEY do! I hate it when people play games like that just to see how long you will chase after them. I don`t play those games. Never have and never will. People should just say what they mean and mean what they say, things would be a lot less complicated that way.
after reading the question again, was that a typo?

That wouldn't be the most special/romantic way of telling someone you love them. The words 'don't' & 'not' are negative. I would be a tad confused, as well.

Anyone who says, "I dont not love you" needs some communication skill help!!!
I would translate this to be a lame attempt at telling you that this person loves you or probably more truthfully cares about you, just not in the WAY you are hoping that they would.

Sometimes,you know to be quite honest with you, I have said that when it was just the opposite,because I was hurt at the time(and it doesn't take much for me) Women are emotional creatures,half the things we do,we don't even understand,so how can we expect you to?I have said it to "test the waters" so to speak,.I wanted to see if my b/f would not give into my b.s.and I wanted to see if he would put up a fight for me.(miraculously he did!!) I wouldn't do that again.....(almost lost the battle on that one)
