I have always been a pampers girl I like the pampers swaddles for newborns BUT my last daughter I had to switch to huggies supreme because she broke out in a rash from the perfume pampers uses! I have been told by many people that the cheap diapers are great but I have tried them and I disagree!! andI am not rich--but I have to have good diapers because I use them so much!!! I have two girls in diapers right now!
Try to see if your hospital has different kinds for you to try so you can choose without paying!
Good Luck!!! I don't know what I would do all day if I didn't have to change a diaper!!! It will be weird!

Pampers Swaddlers , Pampers brands all all the best then huggies and Luvs Luvs are a good quality almost as good as Pampers for alot less . I never much liked huggies I prefer pampers or even Luvs before huggies but when you go to cheep you get leaky and useless diapers then in the end you are payingmore because your useingmore diapers and cleaning up more messes . I have had 2 children so I know there are so many out there . Another good thing is you can find alot of $1 - $3 off coupons for these brands in your paper well atleast mine . Good luck

There really isn't a brand that is better than the others. You'll want to try a variety of brands. Different diapers will fit different babies because not all babies are shaped the same! I love Huggies but my friend uses Pampers on her son. It's really just a matter of preference and how each diaper fits your baby!

We use Huggies 90% of the time, unless there's a sale on Pampers that makes them cheaper than Huggies. I like the stretchy sides (Luvs doesn't have them {just read other comments, maybe Luvs has added stretchy sides after all}), and the absorbancy without getting bulky and droopy that both Huggies and Pampers has. We buy in bulk at Costco, and a case that lasts about a month is $40. Sometimes we buy from amazon.com/grocery when they have sales (plus they have free shipping and no sales tax which can save you a bunch right there).

You didn't ask, but I'll put in my 2 cents on wipes too. My favorites are the Kirkland brand from Costco, after that I like the Parent's Choice (Walmart brand), and then Pampers and Huggies wipes the least.

The brands will differ according to what country you are in, you didn't mention that. I'm in Australia and here I feel the best nappies are Huggies. They ahve boy/girl ones which has their most absobant area where it is needed. Also my neices tended to get nappy rash with any other brand. I am pregnant with my first and I plan to use cloth, but when I go out I'll be using Huggies.
Don't know if that helps, but you should say what country you are in so that people can answer who are in the same area as you, otherwise you might not be able to find the nappies, also the quality of the brand might be different in different countries.

My favorite is Pampers. I've tried EVERYTHING and Pampers just work the best. We used the swaddlers when she was a newborn til about 2 months old. Then we switched to dry baby and we RARELY have leaky diapers. The only time they leak is when she has a really poopy diaper, but that's just how much she pooped, not the diaper itself. I hated luvs...they were too stiff.

Pampers Swaddlers until they hit size 3 then they are called pampers cruisers but they are the same as the swaddlers, but baby dry are different so stick to the swaddlers and cruisers. Also pampers sensitive wipes are the best and are so soft on baby's bottom. And for baby cream use A & D ointment (my doctor told me to use this, its the best). But don't wait for a rash if he looks a little red put a little on, its kind of expensive but my son is 9 months old and i have only bought 2 tubes of it the whole time, but the we lost the 1st tube and it was only half gone. Good luck

Pampers swaddelers for newborns. Huggies for newborns are too baggy in the butt. Once size 3 huggies are the best. I work at a daycare and the kids that have luvs or generic are the ones that always leak. The kids that have huggies or pampers very rarely leak. Pampers cost a little more than huggies but both are a good option. good luck

I have found that huggies are the best, luvs second best, and pampers just suck! pampers always seemed to leak everywhere, no matter how often I changed them. Luvs work really good, but when the baby starts moving, Luvs do not stretch and it seemed like the baby had a harder time learning to crawl in them. Huggies are awesome, they didnt leak and they stretch and move with the child.

any kind of pampers are the best
i love baby dry or cruiser for my 19 month old
i have used them all luvs huggies white cloud
parents choice and target brand
outta all i love pampers
but i use pampers and luvs
i use luvs cuz they are cheap and they are ok for just pee so if u know ur child is just goin to pee or u r goin to be takin the diaper off within a little amount of time get a smallpack of luvs too and go back n forth
