I'm proud to see how many people said, "Yes, he is my President".
They may agree with his policies, or disagree. These are Americans and probably patriots who understand and appreciate their country, wanting what is best for it, not people whining because they didn't get what they want. They're probably politically active as well.
I voted. By agreeing to the rules of our society and voting, understanding the electoral college as any educated person in the United States does, I agreed to accept the result.
I am not some whining, pitiful excuse of an American that when he loses a vote then throws a fit and says, "I don't want to play!"
He is your President. Imaginary excuses don't change that. Opposing his policies and goals can be done patriotically, but you just try to undermine him automatically.
It's contemptible. I'm a democrat. I'm ashamed we tolerate such behavior in our party. We're capable of so much more, and we let the Republicans take the high road when we don't speak up about such childish nonsense, at least until a democrat has the White House again and some Republicans behave just as badly.
Both groups (not Republicans/Democrats, but those who claim those titles and then don't even act like Americans!) are contemptible and seditious, and should be faced down by every patriotic American.

Like it or not, he is our Leader and deserves the respect of the office of President of the United States.
That said, disagreeing with his policies requires rational arguments based on facts ,of which there are plenty of, and mobilizing the vast majority of Americans who don't vote.
There is no doubt that Bush is an effective leader because there are so many Americans who are gullible enough to follow the simplistic arguments of his administration despite the overwhelming facts that prove them wrong time and again.
Respect and concurrence are mutually exclusive and I agree with McKenzie that democrats, including liberals, need to resist the bait of hate-filled talked that are set by conservatives and just bombard them with the thing they can't stand or refute, the truth.

Thank goodness I live in Canada! Although our Priminister is no better. Bush is not my leader. We get a lot of news here that you do not get. I know, I have been in Texas and seen it. From what I see he is just a big stupid puppet for power hungry people. Sorry if I have offended any one. Just my opinion.

I don't but I live in England. I do though feel compelled to watch more what is going on in America than this country, as the US is single handedly making decisions that are affecting the entire world as the world's only superpower and I must say at present they seem to be making mistake after mistake.

He is the leader of our country, and I have a great deal of respect for the man. He's kept us safe, and he has a very genuine concern for the American people. I also admire his faith in God. I don't agree with this amnesty for illegals bill he's trying to get passed, but I do respect him, and I think he's been an awesome president!

No, he is not my leader and although he is obviously the president, I disassociate myself from his horrible decisions even though I may have to suffer the effects of them just as all other Americans must.

Why, hellfire, George Wallace Bush is my hero, the greatest man in the universe, the best American president since Richard N. Nixon. It's the liberals that's ruining America, them tree-hugging sodomite socialist atheist pro-abortion anti-American commies. I know for a fact that every member of God's party, the Republican Party, thinks that Hitler's Germany had the right idea: send all liberals to concentration camps and work 'em to death, or use them, along with homeos and little Jew twins, for medical experiments, which is what made Germany the greatest nation in the world. Hitler had the Russians in the corner until the liberal media and that cripple in the White House stabbed him in the back, the un-American cowards.
