It was our first dance way back when early on while we were first dating. We want it to be our first dance at our wedding. Both hers and my parents are disgusted and really mad at us over this. We'll have a nice and romantic second song. But this is our first dance!!

Led Zepplin Baby!!!! Yeah! It is your wedding and your choice....not anyone else. So, you decide. If the song has meaning to the two of you and you love it...do it! I love Led Z. I was a kid in the 70's and my dad always listened to them. As a matter of fact, Stairway to Heaven was the first song played at my dad's funeral. It was the perfect song for him.

This is your choice. This is YOUR wedding correct? While some may not find this song romantic at all, it is what matters to you both. Think about a compromise. Perhaps start off with this song and then you can switch to something that your family would like. This way you get your song as the first song you dance to, but your family is involved. I think it would turn a lot of people off...it's not an appropriate first DANCE song.
It's very personal to you...but it probably won't appeal to most people...and do you really want people turned off at your wedding? The first song is SUPPOSED to be magical...not scary.
But hey it's your call. You can plan your wedding any way you want.

awww thats so cute, hey it has a deep meaning for you guys and i think you should stick with it... as much as i hate led zepp. no offense to anyone... but maybe you could have an intro that says why you want that song playing i think that would be cute, just say that this was your frist dance while you where dating and now it will be your first dance as a married couple
