Sure you can, that is a good combination. You could add 2-3 regular corys or maybe about 5 pygmy corys.

yes, I think that would be fine. Corys are bottom level swimmers and bettas are upper level swimmers,( Betta male fish typically only fight with other male bettas, despite misconceptions.) They would get along just fine. Just don't put too many cory cats in there, a five gallon tank should only have a few fish in it. Also, you will probably need to feed the betta floating pellet food and the cory sinking food, to make sure both kinds of fish get to eat. Good luck!

Yes,but put in 3 catfish as they live in schoolsa. Get the small ones. They will eat the food the betta doesn't finish.Coty cats won't hurt anything and a male betta will not bother a cory.

Of course! They would do very well. You can put in 2 to 6 cories in with the betta with no problems.

Have you noticed in the store that the betta's are put by themselves. That is for a reason. They are bred to fight and they will.
