Falcons are the fastest 2 legged creatures. the pergrine falcon can reach 320kph (around 200mph) in a dive.
On the ground, the ostrich is the fastest, since it can run at an average 50kph (30mph), but faster when it sprints.

When it comes to land animals cheetahs take the cake with overall top speed, around 65-70 mph. HOWEVER as quick as they are I on a personal level do not consider them the best. Though cheetahs have the top speed they are unable to run at such a speed for very long... yet there are animals out there, pronghorn (second fastest at around 60mph) that can keep up their speed for much longer periods of time.

That is one of the reasons you see so much prey escape from cheetahs, the types of prey they chase are fast (not as fast as a cheetah), but they are able to keep up their speed for much longer. If the cheetah does not chatch the game in the few moments it can keep up that 65-70mph speed the game is lost.

With your gazelle speed... a Thomsons Gazelle tops out around 50mph.

The cheetah is the fastest land animal over short distances (70 mph for a few hundred yards) but the pronghorn antelope is the fastest over long distances (60 mph sprint and 30 mph for several miles).

Fastest four-legged: cheetah. I think the top speed is around 70mph.
Fastest two-legged: peregrin falcon. It technically has two legs, and it dives at over 200mph.

If we're talking running bird, on the ground, that would be the ostrich at about 40mph.

For land animals I think it is the Cheeta but the Pronghorn Antelope of the American Prairies is pretty fast too.
