What books can you recommend that will teach me about the reality of life.?

My parents didn't do a good job and now I find I am sorely lacking the tools to get what I want in life.

Sorry you were let down in the parenting department. I have 5 kids and know how difficult it is to raise them, even though both my husband and I are educated and Christians.

First thing is to decide what you want in life. There are books for all kinds of goals.

If you have money as a goal, then study books that tell you how to make it. However, without a spiritual life, your spending and seeking for 'stuff' will be for naught.

If your goal is wine, women and song, there are no books for that. And joy and contentment will be fleeting.

If your goal is to be a servant for the greater community, travel abroad is a good way to learn about life.

One small book that I found splendid for gutsy folk wisdom is "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff. (It's all small stuff)"

Deep down most of us want serenity and love as we realize that life is being lived and we are part of the crowd living it. I found that my choice of a spiritually passionate life has been met by reading and agreeing with , hold your breath - the Bible. Be blessed young thing. I am proud of you.

Don't blame your parents.
It's not there faults.
The mess was created back in the past by the men who crowned themselves as the men who would be king in kicking the butts of their own children, own generation and living human kind living in misery out there.
When they were at loss and blurr that living human kind do not even know how to create living human kind into mankind of intelligent design without our creator's universal gifts of life vital for the survival and advancement of living human kind out there.
Ever wonder how the blind were ruling and leading the blind blindly following the dead Mummy blindly searching the way back to the graveyards in bringing along their own children, own generation and living human kind back to thgeir early graves.

Ever wonder how the dead Mummy were kicking the butts of living human kind while laughing in their graves until idol of statutes had tears on them counld not speak or stop themselves laughing at the misery of living human kind with idol worshiping the dead Mummy who is not even the creator of heaven and earth.
