What is Memorial Day a holiday for? I think I knew and drew a blank. Please don't say "It's obvious" and not answer!

It's a day when we pay homage and give honor to our fallen soldiers who've died in all wars..

It's really sad how many people do not know what memorial day stands for, go to your local school and ask children what it stands for and most will say that it is the day the pool opens....but like everyone has already told you, it is in rememberance of all the men and women that have fought and/or died for this country.

Memorial Day is the day that we honor all who fell in service to our country. That day is May 30th, every year.

In memory of the soldiers that fought in the wars to keep you and I free. Also in memory of our deceased loved ones who are nolonger with us, just in spirit.

memorial day is a day where you remember everybody, like the people who have died, especially for veterans. today i went to the cemetery and a bunch of people were there, visiting the dead.
