You know I also have an Epson CX5800 and have found it to be really challenging to find ink cartridges that dont cost an arm and a leg that were made by Epson. I too did some looking around for refilling options and found nothing. What I did find looked to have some serious risks involved.

The best thing to do would be to either pay the full amount for the TO601-TO604 from places like Office Max or Office Depot or purchase similar cartridges from places like:

Good Luck!

My best advice is to A. get a laser printer. The cost savings of not buying ink over the life of your printer will pay for the new printer 2 or 3 times. B. If you love ink-jets then I would recommend getting rid of the Epson and buying a different printer with a cheaper or better ink system. It will save you a head ache in the long run. I use to own an Epson, got a decent deal on it but at the time I didn't realize the cartridges had microchips on them. When it came time for new ink, I was looking at paying more for ink then I paid for the printer. I ended up getting a cannon after that. But first I made sure I knew the cost of the cartridges. Since then I swore I would never own an Epson again... but now that I use a Laser printer and fax, I only have to worry about toner maybe once every 1.5 years since it doesn't dry up when not in use. :O)

Why bother refilling a cartridge? You'll probably need to reset the chip so that the printer sees the refilled cartridge.

Just pick up some compatible ink cartridges. They're super cheap and work like a charm, plus there's no mess!

Yes,they have kits to do that. But the quality of the printing is piss poor.I wouldn't do it.But if you must you can get the refill kits at staples or most other computer stores.
