If you don't mind losing your friend, go right ahead. If you care about keeping your friend---don't. At least not yet. It's too soon.

If you want to loose your friend then go ahead. But a girl should always no matter what choose there friend over a guy. But, if you really like him then you should talk to your friend and tell her that if she doesn't want you to then say okay. But tell her you won't be mad at her if she doesn't want you to. Maybe after she is over him or they have moved on then you will be better of asking him out because then you would have a bf and a friend.
~good luck~

If you care about your friend I would really not recommend it. She will feel betrayed and you could lose her as a friend. Wait some time, at least a couple of months, and ask her how she would feel about it. For some girls there is an unwritten girl friend law that says ex-boyfriends are off limits, period.

If you do it your friend could get really hurt because she is probably angry at this guy, so she will feel that you are taking his side. Ask your friend first, and if she says no just pretend to have been joking, then at least you know how she'll react before you ask him.

If she is really your friend you would not even consider the boy. boys come and go but your friendship is worth more. How would you feel if your friend dated your ex and was hanging out with you? talk to your friend.

A bit uncomfortable for you and your friend and what are friends for?
Ask your friend why they packed it in,you might not like the answer and it might give you a guidance as to whether you might still like him or not.
Ask her soon but give it a month at least.

It will never be okay with your friend even if she says it's okay. There are a lot of other fish in sea. If shes your friend i wouldn't go.
