Some people make promises so that they can get a way from someone and not worry what promise thaey make, because they don't plan on keeping it. And some guys will promise a girl anything the girl wants to hear and when they get what they want hey they move on. SO people lie for different things, so never assume that when someone makes a promise they will keep it not unless it's me, so far I haven't broken any yet.

Well, sometimes people promise and really mean it at the time, but after they compare that choice with something new and don't think it is a big deal to do the new activity instead.
They both probably didn't mean to hurt you!
You should talk to your brother alone and just say "you know that really hurt me today that you didn't take me" and ask him if he understands what you are trying to say. Maybe he just needs to know 'more deeply' that it meant a lot to you! Sometimes family member should know that it does mean a great deal, but we don't attach a lot of meaning to it.

Sometimes people don't think that much of a promise . Sometimes they don't do it on purpose they probably wanted to take you but decided they just wanted to change plans I have people who do that to me all the time but the they don't purposely try to hurt you they just want to do what they want...

Tell me about it. I'm dealing right now with someone who makes plans with me, but then half the time backs out at the last minute after he's gotten me all excited about doing something fun. I hate liars. They are right up there with cheaters and thieves in my book! Take care Honey!!

Many a times they never meant to break their promises but due to circumstances they broke it. One thing you should keep in mind is that everything happens for a reason, so cheer up.

bc they are just like that.they say that they will that way u wont bother them and the can go on with their business but obvisously i guess they dont care.

sometimes ppl say things like that cause they want to but get destracted or they say it just do shut the person who's doing the asking up. tell him that ur mad

they do that to make you leave them alone at that moment... so like you dont keep buggin them...but i think you should never make a promise.. and plus they do that cuz it makes you believe they are goin to do it...sorry that happened to you....
