Are there any groups, on yahoo or off, that are a community of jazz listeners who help each other by sharing their knowledge of certain recordings of jazz?

A group where an experienced listener can recommend certain recordings when asked.

Thanks.

A group I belong to is for those who like Smooth Jazz and on this group a number of the members share thoughts about albums they like and would recommend to others. I've only been there about a month and I like it. The link to the group is: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/smoothjazz

Not sure if there's one for traditional jazz or not but if there is you can find out just by typing "jazz" in to the search box on the Yahoo Groups homepage.

Try googling "jazz bulletin board" or "all about jazz"
I've only recently found them myself and they sure seem to love their jazz...
Happy hunting...
