Check out eBay, or Dell Outlet. They both offer good units, and in most cases good service, as well.

Gaming computer are sometimes just over $1000 and a lot of them are over $2000. As for getting it cheap, some of the users have suggested you can buy a cheap computer and try upgrading it yourself. Try Carbonfrost Systems. They have a model called Surfer Mark III for $525 and you wil get what I have listed below. You can add a decent video card and be ready to go. The good thing about these guys is that they will Overclock many of their computers and still keep it under warranty. So you will get a better computer essentially than what I have listed below. I am not sure if they do this on thier Surfer Class but I am sure you can talk to them and see what they say.
250 Gigabyte Hard Drive
1 GB RAM (up to 8 GB)
AMD Athlon 64 4000+ Single Core
2.4 GHz Processor
DVD±R Burner 18X
ASUS AMD Motherboard
Windows Vista Home
Starter Package

Good luck but as I said earlier getting a gaming computer for that price is pretty hard especially a decent one.

could be you will get an used one, despite the fact that that's no longer a stable gaming pc anyhow. Even a stable GPU will fee you around 499$. A gaming rig could be enhance in around 1500 dollars for an elementary one. For severe gaming you gotta spend extra seven hundred dollars.

Gaming computers are more expensive than $500. You also need a good processor. The processor itself will cost more than $500 for gaming.

Try these, for the price your looking at, it's pretty basic, if you want heavy duty gaming your going to need to go up about 200 plus in price.
