Is all the people who got who just fell in with him. German women were working in the concentration camps. Women fell in with him and were putting people to death in the camps. He didn't do it alone. He got a lot of people to go along with him. How did he do it? You'll never find that out in US History class in USA high school. You have to seek it out on your own.

In order to understand how something happened you have to understand why. Germany- 1920's; While everyone in the western hemisphere seemed to be having a good time, and rolling in wealth, Germany was in the corner of a dark room counting pennies in order to pay reparations for a war it didn't even start. The government was poor, the people were poor, and the government was suspicious of everyone, which is how Hitler got his start. Hitler was still in the German army, his task was to infiltrate local parties to find out what was going on and what might go on. This is how he came across the National Socialist German Workers' Party (also called the NAZI party). Hitler quickly became genuinely involved with it, started making speeches about how it was the Jews fault for all their troubles. When you're in a situation like that, it doesn't take much to persuade you of something like that. The rest as they say, is history.

It's just an opinion, and you may not care for it, but I believe It might've had something to do with the fact that he possesed the Sword of Longess, (sic) which was also carried by Napoleon and other military leaders throughout history. It is reputed to have been the spear which pierced Christs side, which Hitler had seen in a mueasum in Austria as a boy, and stole as soon as he came to power. It has a short handle, was broken in two at some point in history, and repaired with a gold band and has copper wire wrapping nails (reputedly from the cross) affixed to it. The legend is that whoever posseses it has the power to do great harm or good, as the case may be. Himmler had a replica made for himself, and the original was taken from Nazi hands within two hours of Hitlers demise. It was general Patton who identified it. It was returned to Austria after the war, where it remains today.

He was a human, a very persuasive human. if you look at him other than being an evil bigoted idiot(even then there are still people who are evil bigoted idiots) he was just like any other person the only difference is that he had the power to act on his vices. As for the people that followed him I believe there have been enough studies made that prove that just about anyone is capable.

They should have taught you the answer in school. It was a time after the defeat in WWI where Germany was in a mess. Inflation ravaged the commonpeople, as a wagon full of money was needed to buy a loaf of bread. Hitler was a magnetic leader and shifted blame to Jews for their poverty. He had a cause and brought people hope and an answer. We consider him an evil person, but no one can deny his leadership and his allure

The incredible belief that non-Aryan people were not human beings and had no soul. All were treated like animals that did not deserve to live unless they were useful to the Master Race.

The best explanation of Hitler is - he was a drug addict. Having met drug addicts, I am not surprised. The reason people followed him was STUPIDITY. What losers.
