How about say something like:
I think you still want to be friends but honestly, I really don't want you as part of my life. I don't hate you. But just so you know, if you call again I will avoid answering because I don't feel like talking with you anymore. Whatever we had at one time is gone. What little in common we have does not inspire me to get to know you better. So, think I'm a jerk if you want to. I'm just being honest. If you respect yourself you will hear these words, respect my boundaries, and save yourself time, potential embarrassment or hurt. Thank you.

You're doing the right thing by not answering the phone. You could have the number blocked. This isn't about being a jerk. This is about letting her know loud and clear that it is over. I don't think you're being a jerk.

Tell her that you have decided to move forward and being in constant contact with her is making that extremely difficult. Also, explain that it's very hard for you to tell her this because you don't want to hurt her...but she is your ex and that decision was made for a reason (whether by you or her). So it's time to let go and go your seperate ways.

stop worrying about being a jerk or being mean. if you havn't already told her you don't want her in your life then tell her. it will take a while but just stop answering her phone calls and sooner or later she will get it and stop calling

If there is no problem with your communication with each other, then there's not much else you can do other than ignore her. If she doesn't understand, you've tried to explain, and she still lacks the understanding, then you can't do anything else other than be direct with her.
People break up for a reason and you have your own for not wanting to be friends. If explaining why you don't want to be friends isn't clear, then it may be time to be brass w/her.

listen mike, just tell her how you feel don't worry about being a jerk, if she is really bugging u tell her to stop kalling u but in a calm voice, say something like hmm okay how bout " Look the reason we broke up is because we weren't ment to be together, a lot of times when you call i have important things to do so i would appreciate it if u would stop calling me" u know just something like that, but when you tell her to stop kalling u make sure you pay attention to wat u say because gurls are very sensitive.
GOOD LUCK :)

Just tell her to stop calling you. Or you can keep ignoring her calls, and eventually she'll get the hint. Thats what worked for my boyfriend's ex.

Don't answer the phone, she'll get the message. This is pretty simple, I'm sure you knew you could do this prior to posting this question. So, do you really want her out of your life? Smile....

She is ignoring your wants since obviously she keeps calling. Continue not to pick up the phone...there is really no way around hurting her in this situation...I doubt she wants blunt honesty since she is being dishonest to herself.
