Unless you go on disability, you can start drawing on social security at 62. But, it all depends on how much you put into it. Those funds are taken from your paycheck every time you are paid and accumulate throughout your life. If you delay drawing social security until 70 or 72, you will get more.

That depends on your age. At some point, the amount is unlimited, but earlier, they subtract $1 from your social security for every $2 you make over a certain amount - if your earnings are below that amount, they don't subtract anything. See ssa.gov for details.
