I'd pick different name. A friend of mine picked a name she thought was cute but everyone else thought it odd-ball...and did her daughter pay for it! Flicka (which I know was used already as a name for a horse in both a book and a movie)and Waltrude sound like names synonymous with "picked on" and "abused"; especially once they get in school. Do your children a favor and pick names that won't damage their self esteem. I also think the sound the same is passe too. Why don't you try

www.babynames.com
or
www.babycenter.com/babyname (among many more)
and see if there are some names that would be a blessing to your twins. Good luck.

Flicka was the name of a fictional horse - and some kid will twig to that sooner or later - and Waltrude was a Viking queen, I believe. They would be better off with something else in the long run. Just not Mary-Kate and Ashley, please! One set of those in the world is enough! LOL Avoid rhyming names, too. How about Rebecca Marie and Veronica Mae?

I think you would be better off coming up with better names. No offense but if my name was either Flicka or Waltrude I would be very disappointed.

Those names are truly awful. Give them non rhyming names, completely different sounding. You're having two individuals, not a pair of babies that have to be the same.

Keep searching. If your kids end up with those names, they'll resent you. Immensely.
But as a twin myself, might I suggest skipping the cutesy rhyming or matching names? That's amusing only to parents and grandparents. The kids themselves might feel even less individual if something to personal as their name doesn't feel like it totally belongs to them.

Oh my goodness, do you want to torture the poor kids. I'm all for something a little unusual in naming but that's in the category of Apple and Coco. Sorry.

If, for some odd reason, you end up having a boy and a girl, consider Denise and Denephew

You want to name them after a horse and a ex-NASCAR driver? I've always thought that kids should be able to slap their parents if they get stupid names!
