I really think it was trying to keep my feelings in check for my 2 daughters, who were pretty young at the time, but old enough to see I was not myself. I was hurting more for them than I was because my wife left, because she was sleeping with my "best friend" and taking the pay check and stashing some of it away for months, only paying the power & cable & phone (all, the minimum amount). When she left, I found out I was in debt to the tune of $65,000 bucks ! I had no choice but to go bankrupt, which is a real blow to one's self esteem, and I felt ashamed.
So, the hardest part was not her leaving, it was not letting the girls know how I really felt about their mother. I never said one negative thing to them about her, and it has payed off in spades. I don't know why I'm telling you all this, because you are one of a very few that ever knew what really took place. It felt good telling someone about it. So, thanks for your question. I almost think you are psychic, because I was thinking about this just yesterday ! Go figure.

I have never been divorced but my parents divorced when i was 10 and the hardest part for me was hearing my parents talk **** about eachother!! So if u have and babies at home... try not to say things about your ex, that's really hard and confusing for the child!! Good Luck!

Not there yet and never hope to be.
Have seen first hand of how children are used as goal between's, the fighting, cursing and domestic violence towards one another. The whole family is effected by others childish games. For years to follow.

Finding out, I still had no room in the huge wall to wall closet for all my stuff ;-)
Really nothing, no kids involved, parted never to see or speak again in 30 some years.

Watching the children be shuffled back and forth between houses and my ex playing with their emotions using them against me. Having the kids cry they don't want to stay with daddy.......Also getting my things moved out so he didn't throw it away and getting him to pay me the little bit I finally agreed to just to get it over with......Still working on that, he keeps calling wanting me to do him a favor by waiting. In the mean time I can't buy a house until he gets my name off the one we own together.......

Having to get up in court and say I caught my husband and mom " together" . The best part was hearing the judge say he could not get a penny of alimony !
