CD sales have continually declined over the last 7 years; Concert attendance is declining as well; the only exceptions to these are, respectively, downloadable music (yet this is mostly single songs, not entire albums) & the expensive, yet highly profitable, "oldies" & reunion tours (e.g. the Rolling Stones, the Who, the Police).

i like downloading music from itunes since i usually am let down when buying a cd in it's entirety, however sometimes if the entire album is great all around i buy it, i think too that concerts will be on satellite dish or ppv type stuff the way it is now. free concerts in the park are fun and going to small bars, those will never go away. it's all about word of mouth. myspace is great for introducing the freshest music
