I'm planning on buying the suite myself. Will get the tiling and decorating done separately too. Just need to know the cost of fitting the suite. Thanks

Thanks MCFC - I'm in North East - if I pay your travel will you come and do the work for me lol? A decent workman is so difficult to find. Thanks for your answer!

If you are going to help me that much - you might as well finish the job and fit it for me (for free like you said lol!). I'll e:mail you when I've prepared the bathroom!!!!

it depends if your only being charged for fitting alone! or if you are being charged for supply and fit!!
let me know and i can advise

in my experience a decent plumber can carry out this work within 1 day.
therefore i would expect to charge between £100.00 - £ 200.00 for the work

but i live in the northwest!!

for your sweet cheekiness i would come over and fit it for free lol

alas a good plumber is always a busy person, hope it goes well

1 last tip!

a cheap bathroom suite costs the dearest to fit

im being too nice to you now!!!

to bring the cost down, try strip your bathroom down as much as you can, making it easier for the plumber!!

use my mail, and ill give you some pointers!!

We live in South Wales and we paid just under £3k and they supplied suite and fitted it and I had half the bathroom tiled, a heated towel rail, new shower over bath and a cupboard built in a small recess.

Try and get three or four quotes from different companies and compare them. Ours recently cost us £5k - we bought the suite ourselves, and got someone in to do the tiling. The 5k cost included the purchase of the fittings, and it wasn't a particularly expensive suite.

if the new bathroom is going in the same position as the old one ..and the old bath is not cast iron ..then it can be done in a day ..but the plumber will need quite a lot ofdifferent fittings to do it .. with labour ..expect to pay £250
