1) 2.34 = 234/100 = 117/50

2) 2/9 = 0.2222222 ......... Perform the division 2.000000/9

3) 0.055555555555555555...... = 05/90 = 1/18

2.34 can be written as a mixed numeral...2 34/100...change that to fraction form (234/100) and reduce it...117/50 and that's a quotient!

you divide the 9 into the 2 (9 goes on the outside of the division "house!). Put your decimal down after the 2, and divide until it repeats...it does it immediately.... point bar 2.

.05 (repeating) is 5/99 (the top is always the number that repeats and the bottom is all 9's...as many as you have repeating digits--this is true is all the digits repeat--if only some repeat, it's a whole different story!
