Yes, that is irritating. I have a friend whose favorite thing is to go on a big shopping trip before her birthday or Christmas! I have to tell her straight up "No shopping for yourself during the month of December!" I got her to use thingsiwant.com and that has helped a whole bunch! Now she can keep track of the stuff.

Yeah, totally hate that. That's why there are certain people that I tell them not to buy themselves anything if a gift giving occasion is approaching. This way they won't buy it before I give it to them.

whats even worse is, when you go to their party bringing the gift and knowing how much they are going to love it..they open a gift before yours and it is the same thing...what a let down...

ya, or you bring it to their house to give it to them and right when you are going to give it to them, they show you it? that happened with my boyfriend and me and the larry the cable guy cd.

What's worse is when you give it to them before they tell you they JUST got one. "You really shouldn't have, I just got myself one" is worse than anything.
