As of today I would have to say no. But it is an interesting question. He has made 3 world series appearances and won 2. Was NLCS MVP in 1993 and WS Co-MVP in 01. The Bloody sock does add to his mystic. He has the record for consecutive starts without allowing and unearned run. He is just over 200 wins and has the K's needed with 3,000. But he is just not worthy of the hall yet. He needs to get closer to 300 wins before he is truly worthy of the hall.

No, he does have 2 World Series wins with the Red Sox and the D Backs but i'm not sure that will be enough. If he can win 300 games he will be a Hall a Famer.

If you break his stats down I'd have to say that he is not quite there. Good K to BB ratio and an okay ERA but he has only completed 82 starts during a 20 year career. Not impressive at all. I think he needs to win at least 250 games to get serious consideration. That is very doable as he needs to win only 39 more games.
Personally I think he's a first class jerk so if he doesn't get in I won't lose any sleep over it.

Yeah, he is a big part of baseball history with the bloody sock and winning the world series with the boston red sox and the arizona diamonbacks. His numbers are also really good. Also by the time he retires he will probably have about 250 wins and 4000 strike outs.

Interesting question. He is about as borderline as borderline gets. 3,000 strikeouts, a .600 winning percentage, a terrific WHIP in a big hitting era, plus tremendous post season performances all bode in his favor although some people may think he's a little shy with only (currently) 211 wins. I think when push comes to shove he'll make it.

I'm not convinced he is, though the two championships carry such rich storylines that he'll get more votes than he would otherwise. He's not yet done, though, so I'm willing to re-evaluate when he does leave the field for the final time.
