Right-wing candidates need to attract votes from someplace, and the people who believe in science aren't likely to vote for them. So they try to appeal to the "Religious Right" by claiming to share their views. Of course, Bush did the same thing, but once elected, he turned his back on religious (and fiscal) conservatives, giving everything he's got to the "corporate" conservatives. They don't believe it's the 13th century, but they wish it was: the aristocracy flourished, peasants were serfs, and heretics were burned at the stake. What's not to like about that?

AS far as Evolution and Abstinence Education, that is them pandering to the religeous right. Global Warming has been high jacked as a liberal anti capitalist agenda that scientist are not willing to speak out against for fear of retribution and funding cuts. Everyone knows that Evolution is a strong theory and Abstinence Education does not teach about birth control. Planned parenthood teaches abstinence, birth control, and does pre abortion councelling, it does a better service than most churches.

Evolutoin is a theory, but every law starts out as a theory, 98.9% of scientist believe in evolution, but there are a couple of christian scientist that try to disprove evolution. Guess how many scientific papers for creationism written by scientist's where accepted by a peer review by a large panel of scientist, ZERO, creationism is not a theory, if you have any other valid theories that would be great, but the only logical theory we have now is evolution or the "Flying Spaghetti Monster," try and prove me wrong.

Global warming can be taken both ways, but all in all we need to be more enviromentally friendly regardless of global warming, we are destroying the seas, rainforest, and animal population.

It's only common sense to try to work things out with logic, not a book of fairytales.

No, you're right, it's not the 13th century.

We're now expected to embrace gay marriage (because it's politically right).

We're supposed to legalize dope, because that too is politically correct and what the hell, everyone does it anyway, right?

We're supposed to apologize to our enemies for antagonizing them.

We're supposed to have our school books changed to take out words like Mother & Father (no longer politically correct and might hurt some feelings).

Religion. Heck if you believe in God, you're an idiot.

Family unity. What's that?

I could conjure up a much longer list, but why bother. You get the drift and I know where you're coming from.

(I'm glad I'm old and perhaps will die of old age before you great folks completely take this country over.)

There is as much credence to intelligent design as there is to the theory of evolution. Can YOU explain precisley where we advanced beyond our primate ancestors and became thinking and self-aware HUMANS? (That is giving you the benefit of the doubt by presuming you are not still picking fleas off of your mate.) Don't you see even the tiniest spark of divine intervention there? Or do you prefer to believe all of the amazing variants of life on earth are just the results of some big crap shoot?

As for "Global warming," it is caused by the sun... As humans, we can affect the cleanliness of our environment, but short of all-out nuclear war, cannot not change the temperature of the earth--EVEN IF WE WANTED TO! Krakatoa exploded in the most violent volcanic eruption in human memory, spewing untold amounts of gas and ash into the air--enough to darken the sky and affect the climate around the world for months--but even THAT eventually dissipated and life went on. What we humans do cannot begin to compare to that, and even so, we are constantly looking to improve our air and water quality. You don't have to believe in "global warming" to believe it's responsible to maintain a clean planet.

Abstinence is a choice that has to be taught by loving and responsible parents, and it is a REAL choice that must respected by society. Most public schools are unwilling and unequipped to teach topics founded in moral correctness which require personal responsibility. Unfortunately what society teaches our children is that anything is okay as long as it makes them feel good and doesn't directly hurt anyone. So our schoolchildren are constantly held to lower and lower standards while educators struggle to boost their "self-esteem"--not by helping them do well in school, but by catering to the lowest common denominator. They are taught not to keep score or play tag lest they hurt someone's feelings. All while being taught that every non-traditional lifestyle including homosexuality and transexuality is "normal" and that the traditional family unit is not--no concern for hurt feelings of the traditional American family unit there! As they get older, promiscuity is the order of the day with schools providing condoms, and the state funding abortion on demand--and in many states where school nurses cannot give children Tylenol without permission from the child's parents and doctor, abortion is done without parental notificaction!

Does that sound like the world YOU want to live in? Where humans are nothing special, nothing remarkable... but our improvements in technology that make life better for everyone are supposedly ruining the earth? Where children are not treasured for their innocence and potential, but are taught that sex in any permutation or perversity is fine as long as you wear a condom... And even THAT is taught at ever younger ages!

That is certainly not the world I want to live in--and it's definitely not the world I want my 3 children growing up in! So yes, if a candidate has good moral fiber and genuinely has the best interests of this country and our children's futures at stake, I would gladly vote for him--whether he sings about Jesus or not. Musical ability doesn't make someone a better president, sax-playing sexists not withstanding.

Try believing in something purer, better, and bigger than Darwin, Al Gore, or the liberal indoctrination centers called public school! Difficult, I'm sure, but with a little rational thought you might be able to manage.

Al Gore does not a scientist make. He received not one scientific award for that docudrama nor, does he list one scientific review on his website.

Those who look to Gore as some kind of god without reason or, proof of any kind, should not have to question others' beliefs in the true God.

You forgot to insert the word "junk" between accept and science. Evolution and global warming are not facts, they are theories. Big difference. Abstinence education is a cultural issue and has nothing to do with science.

Can you prove them?

1. Evolution: Do you see any monkeys becoming human lately?
2. Global Warming: what happens to the Global Cooling?
3. Liberalism leads to Failure in Life.

Liberals love to use their IMAGINATION as FACTs.

What science? There is no proof we came from primordial ooze. There is no proof of global warming. Passing out condoms, explicit sex ed classes have not worked either. You are very narrow minded and I rather elect a banjo player than a doom and gloom bass drum playing liberal.
