Cussing is only wrong and offensive if you are around people who perceive it as such. It's just common courtesy to watch your language when you are in the presence of people who don't care for cuss words. On the other hand, when you are around people who don't mind and/or cuss themselves, then there's really no reason to watch your mouth. It's a personal decision and there's still nothing really "wrong" about cussing in front of people who don't like it...but really, what's the point of offending people just for the sake of offending them?

I think explictives have a proper place in language. However, the problem is that they are overused, misused, and taken for granted. But then again, I feel that spoken language as a whole is being cheapened by people that don't think things through before saying them. But no, nothing that can be expressed verbally is wrong, just make sure it's the right time.

Swearing is usually inappropriate language in most instances. Today's movies and some music genre just swear words for the shock value. The shock value eventually wears off and everyone thinks it is ok to incoperate these words in their everyday language.

I believe cussing is OK, but only in certain situations. Like stubbing your toe, or getting mad at a bill or something, but not AT another human. It's OK (if you know your SO or friend is OK with it) saying "Whoo, it's a he** of a hot day!" But that's not directed AT them. And I really try not to swear around family or in public at all.

I don't think cussing is wrong, really, but I do think that cussing is a sign of an uneducated person lacking class. No matter who you are, if you are cussing, you look like an idiot. I am not judging, I do my fair share of cussing, and when I do it I know i look like an idiot...

**** no ... it just depends on how you use it, many people believe its freedom of speech, and their right but you just cant go saying it around anywhere, for example your in a movie theatre and you scream out "Fire!!!" thats freedom of speech but can really hurt people (they get trampled on) and people call cops you go to jail
