I have taken my jeep to the dealer for the same thing for the past 4 months. Coolant light keeps coming on and everytime I take it in they suck money out of my pocket and its still is not fixed. They replaced the level sensor, thermostat, I demanded a compression test on it and they said its fine but replaced the radiator cap. This weekend I found no antifreeze in the overflow and it took a 1/4 gallon to bring the level back up to where its supposed to be properly. I am pissed and I'm not sure how to do this correctly. Obviously something is wrong with my jeep cause it is not leaking on the ground. Why won't they fix it. Is it cause its got 2,000 more miles and it will be out of warranty. This is a dodge dealer not some fly by night shop. I want them to reimburse me for past dues and fix my jeep before the head cracks if its not already. Help me, give me some tips

You may have fixed it for good by topping off the coolant overflow container. When they changed the thermostat some air probably stayed in the system for a while until it was replaced by coolant during the course of running, that would make the level drop.I say this because I open the cooling systems in the course of repairing collision damaged vehicles and see this happen on occasion.I really wouldn't get too upset at this point, just keep an eye on it and if it should continue,go back and let them know you're not exactly happy.
The incident is on record, the warranty will still cover this particular repair in the future.

first thing you are doing wrong is going to dealer tehy are always the highest and has for the warranty if you paying to have it fix as help you do what... dont call the dealer call the company and if that dont work... most dealer have young guys working on cars dont mean they know what they are doing... is it getting hot when the light is on... is the fan working right.. does it look like they have work on the things they say they have where s the old parts why not go some where else ask someone you know who works on car that they think is good and take it there over heating problem are most of the time easy to find and fix only a few things that will cause them id try someone else and not ever go to a dealer
for car repair unless its new and they paying for it id bet good money the guy working on it is younger than you

So what's next, he calling to ask for clean tires, oil, and gas? you're actually not in charge for the glass (that grew to become into via ensue at any monent via universal use and positioned on) you're basically in charge for damages that have been present on the 2nd of sale no longer for "new" damages. Batteries are like gas a "consumable", they final some years and that's it. regarding the kit, nicely you gave him an entire disclosure approximately it. He offered an used previous vehicle. Now you have no thank you to recognize what he have executed to the motor vehicle, so which you're actually not from now on in charge. you have 2 innovations, supply him his a reimbursement or ignore approximately him. He could ask you to pay for the upkeep yet that's a NO NO, that's going to fee you cash and he gets a jeep for almost no longer something (that's extra effective to take it back and sell it returned).

Check with your state Attorney Generals Office. There are laws reguarding the warranties. I had to do this to get G.M. to repair the rust on my pickup. They gave in about 3 days before the warranty ran out, after threatening to take them to the A.G. If they issue a warranty, then they have to honor it.

it may have had an air pocket ,not to say your dealer mechs, know or not. keep checking that ,if it persist then you need to point that out .if under a waranty do NOT add any aditives.
it could be a simple it take gasket leak or greater head gasket .
check the recall list .auto zone.com will have this, you may need to sign in and password. its free.

Try a lemon law arbitration with the dealer and have the warranty period extended in writing if the problem still remains....don't let them drop the issue just because they can't fix it inside the warranty limits. Maybe get a lemon law attorney if you feel strongly about it---once the warranty period is over, you've got little recourse.
