Where can a under 13 year old person get a job?

babysitting is a state by state thing BTW. in many states you must be 14 or older to legally babysit. if anything happened to the child in the care of someone under 14 in most states the parents would be held criminally responsible. I digress, legally you can't have a job anywhere. that is because you are not old enough to pay taxes. you are also to young to be covered by anyones liability insurance that all states require, so you are out of luck. back to mowing lawns and taking out the trash unless you can find an under the table job somewhere.

Well, I'm 12 and I have jobs. There minor, it's pretty much babysitting, waitressing, helping out at the old people's homes, stuff like that.

I'm 13 and my jobs are pretty much limited to babysitting, mowing lawns, and car washes. I really really want to waitress, but I don't think anywhere hires that young.

Mexico, India, Pakistan, Vietnam. Hope you like working long hours for little pay and abusive bosses. When you start high school check with a guidance counselor. Until then, if you need cash see if you can sell some of your stuff.

Go mow a neighbor's lawn, do some yardwork for someone, but really, you can't be legally hired I think.
