I'm doing a speech about finding a magic genie lamp which grants me 3 wishes, but i can only use the three wishes to benefit others: Family, poverty, environment, etc. The thing is I need to tell where i got/found the magic genie lamp. Any ideas?

You ordered something on EBay and got it by mistake. It happens to me all the time.

Since you have to use the wishes to benefit others, how about you make yourself a "greedy" person that would have only used the lamp for yourself had there not been restrictions on the wishes. Think about places a "selfish" person would have found the lamp....hidden in a closet of a "new home" they just bought, etc.

The trick is to be simple. Don't make this intro too complex that the story won't flow. Also, make it unique. Not just a beach or whatever. Make it meaningful, use analogies. What is something you found in your life that has inspired you? Friends? Where did you meet them? Use this analogy to help you discover where you found this magic genie lamp.

Good luck.
