No. Either you misunderstood your friend, or he misunderstood the news report. The news report said that a planet was discovered which was located at a distance from its sun which could possibly cause the planet's temperature to be similar to our temperatures here on earth. Nothing is actually known about this planet. It is only a possibility that it's temperature is moderate.

Yeah it is true, its kind of far away but it sure makes you wonder how many other planets are similar to Earth and hold life.

Yep sure is... Its 5 times the size of the earth and orbits a red dwarf... A total revolution takes about 18 days I believe. It is also 20 light years away

Sort of. It's terrestrial, like earth (i.e. rocky). It's in the "Goldilocks Zone," or the distance from the star where water, if there is any, could be in liquid form. But we don't know anything about its composition or atmosphere or what's on it - just that it's about 5 times the size of earth, rocky, and COULD have liquid water.

they have found a rocky planet but its not earthlike you could not live there it does not rotate and its huge you would be crushed.
