my best friend's mom doesn't want her to hang out w/ me anymore. she doesn't understand how much she needs me and i her. her mom is always trying 2 find a fault w/ me which there are many but not any she has said. she is trying to convince her daughter to stop being my friend. why can't she just open her eyes and see that i will always be there so she better get used to it. oh ya one other thing her mom is jealous that her daughter tells me everything and not her. she thinks they had a strong relationship before i came along but they never did. so is her mother trying to try to recreate something that was never there in the first place by trying to get rid of me?

Why dont you sit down and talk to her mom with your friend there. JUst be like i know yuo dont like me but i would like to know why. Be like you should be happy that your daughter has a friend like me that cares about her and keeps her out of trouble. Tell her you resepect the fact that she is her mother and has an opinion but her opinion of you is all wrong. Try inviting her mother to go with you to the movies or out to pizza maybe if you include her things will get better., She may feel that you are replacing her in every part of her life your mother is suppose to be your best friend the one that you can talk to about anything and she cant talk to her mom for unknown reasons so she talks to you. Try to include her mom in some activities and show her that you are a good person and not what she thinks.

The pendulum is in the middle. Either you have habits (smoking, emo, low grades, boyfriend already) that the mother doesn't appreciate her daughter getting this early, or the mom is having issues with her daughter's independence and growth.

Sounds like your friend and her mom need to iron out some things. I hope the mother AND your friend are open when they talk without going drama queen on each other. That could hurt everyone.

she is upset because you're taking away her daughter/best friend.

I would talk to your friend about it, and possibly confront the mother yourself if she has ever said anything to your face about how she doesn't want you around. If you're just getting all the info from your best friend, then you cannot really start an issue with her mother-- it would automatically create the reason why she would dislike you.

Hang in there if the girl is really worth sticking around for. Maybe her mom would lighten up if you did some nice things for them, like bake cookies or something. Bribes!

Good luck.

Because she might think you are influencing her daughter in someway. Just confront the mom and ask her why she doesn't like you-and take it from there.

Why don't the four of you (your friend, her mom, your mom, and you) sit down and discuss it rationally. Appears both of you are assuming what the other one is feeling..and you need to 'clear the air' and come to a resolution.

as they say mothers know best..but im not saying that she is right about trying to part you and your bestfriend..she may have seen something in you which she thinks is not good..talk to her and ask her what is it that she doesnt like in you and you can start from there..good luck..=)
