I really hate my name,
friend has the same name,
We need ideas for what i could be known as other then nicole

I have two friends with the exact same names (First and Last). My twin sister and I decided to call them with shapes. So one is Ben Circle and the other is Ben Square. It sounds silly, but completley works! The whole school calls them that, except when either name is on the announcements are something, a middle initial is used. So if your middle name is Kylie, people could call you Nicole Kylie or Nicole K instead of Nicole, or they could just call you Kylie.

I really do understand what you are saying because I had a very popular name when I was growing up and there was always several around. Not to mention it rhymed with another popular name...
But you know what? Now it just doesn't matter than much. I really didn't care for my first name until I learned it was Spanish and meant "beautiful" I really don't like my middle name at all.
You name is of Greek origin, and its meaning is "victorious people".
I can tell you that your parents put in many hours thinking of a name for you. They picked one they really really liked. Do them the honor of continuing to use it even though you do not care for it right now, or because someone else in your school has the same name.

Well I had a friend named Nicole too, and people would just call her Nikki. There are different ways to write it , like, Nicky or Nicki.

Nikki is the most obvious...as mentioned...but maybe for another choice you could use your initials...(OR your middle name)...I personally love the name Nicole, but we always want what we don't/can't have. lol

I was going to name my first girl Chelsea Nicole, so I'm shocked at your rejection. Nicole is a beautiful name.

Nic At Nite is a cool nickname.
Or, you can go straight off the board. I am a DJ on the side, and my friends who know me there call me by my handle's nickname, Dodge. I love it.
I am adopted and have dealt with those feelings.

My niece's name is Nicole, but all we've ever called her is "Nicki"! That's a great name! It's classy and it makes you sound smart! I don't think I'd be ashamed of it at all if I were you! Relax! Have a good weekend
