I think gay marriage should have been legal years ago

Marriage is a loving bond and spiritual commitment between two people who love each other, not our government. I'm Gay. If I decide I love some one to tangle up with financially, and any other way, I will find a way. I'm not waiting for Joe Hick Fundie to approve. I'll find a way whether it's legal or not.

Still I believe that I should have the same legal rights as heterosexuals.

I think this whole marriage thing being sacred for only a male and female completely bogus. When I worked in a bindery (making books / printing), when we would merge one component with another we called it "marrying"... Jeepers! If the book and its cover can get "married", then so can I!!!!

Just because I can marry doesn't mean I will. Relationships are hard work!

Gay marriage is a wonderful thing. As is heterosexual marriage. It doesn't matter who you marry, as long as you love them. I can't even begin to understand why anybody would be so cold-hearted as to make a law against two people loving eachother. It's absurd and it's wrong and I don't know how these people can sleep at night knowing that they've probably prevented tons of caring couples from getting married.

Although not gay myself, Love is love, and I don't think it makes any difference. I will try to back up what I just said and why I just said it if you read my references.

This is a whole area about Christianity and gays..
http://www.whosoever.org/gayxian/articles.html

If you will read this information you will see there is no problem with gays marrying....they have every bit as much right to marry as a heterosexual...but the proof is in what I have given you to read. IF you will take time to read it.

ADDITIONAL: From reading some of the answers from supposedly Christian people it only shows how little they really know about their Bible and what God and Jesus say and don't say....you bigoted Christians really need to read what I have posted above. I, as a born again Christian you make me sick! You do not know what you are saying; you only know what some uninformed preacher has said! If you want more proof of what I say...ask i will send it to you!

The fact that this is not allowed just shows that we still stuck to the religious Dark Ages.

It is a gruesome reminder of how hate and bigotry are still prevelant in America and how the Church is once again taken the message of Jesus for love, understanding, tolerance and peace, and throw it out the window.

If the two people care for each other and want to get married, they should be allowed to get married.

I personally don't support gay marriage. But I don't resist it either. I believe that if you live in this country, you should live the way you want. Many people stereotype gay people, but they are normal just like everyone else, and very nice too! Do you feel down because of the whole shunning of gay marriage? Don't feel that way because if you married to be happy, be happy! :-) Don't let other people decide for you on how to feel.
