I'm a young gay male, and i've been living in many different countries for the past couple of years (i think it's just "my thing"). However, as i progress from twinkie/teenage/playful stage to the student, and more recently graduate stages, with more focus on professional achievement and fulfillment, i find my earlier (perhaps partly unjustified) self-confidence not there anymore, and find myself feeling competitively disadvantaged related to the young people of my current country of residence, which sucks, given how well i am educated, travelled, etc etc. I worry that this lack of self-confidence can be seen in my otherwise flamboyant body language, and, since i'm a great believe in body language, i would like to be able to affect that so as to be able to sell myself the best i can in job-related situations

1. Dress just a little better than the "uniform" for the job or position you want. People will take notice of your sophisticated style, and this will reflect positively on you in general.

2. Hit the gym. Get back in shape so you feel better about your appearance. Set challenging but realistic goals for yourself to build confidence.

3. Mind your posture - back straight, chest out, abdomen in, chin up, eyes facing forward. If you tend to walk fast, slow your gait a little. If you seem constantly hurried, it suggests you are not in control of where you ought to be.

4. Make eye contact with people. And don't forget to smile!

5. Prepare for job interviews beforehand by rehearsing your answers to expected questions. As you do this, visualize yourself projecting confidence and competence and succeeding in your interview.

6. Don't abandon your playfulness altogether. It is part of your personality and I suspect that people respond positively to it, and it's important to have fun in life! (Just know in which situations playfulness is appropriate, and when you need to behave more professionally.)

7. If you find you're still suffering from diminished confidence after following these guidelines, consult a professional psychotherapist about possible underlying self-image issues.

Assuming you don't want to drop the flamboyance (read "swishing") but do want to project more self-confidence, I suggest an exercise program--ANY exercise program that leads to goals you want. When you like your body better, you'll exude more confidence standing, walking, sitting, and blinking!
But if--no, there's no "if"! After rereading your question for the third time, I can only conclude that you do NOT want to disguise your flamboyance. So brother, I admire your b*lls! (I hope that adds a little to your self-confidence.)

Yeah, I listen ya. My fine pal purchased a "bugg" (boston terrier pug) from a breeder, so I have got to type of watch what I say round her. I do admit that on the time I did not particularly detect how dangerous a breeder that individual used to be, so I did not inform her on the time she used to be watching and that makes me think like a hypocrite now if I do say something...besides..My cousin's fiancee has a huskie b!tc# he desires to reproduce and whenever I listen approximately it I have got to say some thing. I can't hold my mouth close and I have got to lecture the either one of them approximately in charge breeding and puppy overpopulation; I'm hoping in the future it's going to sink in. I additionally appear for approaches to convey up the area of puppy meals considering the fact that they're feeding Beneful...ugh. It makes me so unhappy and a bit of mad. With the surprise collar, my dad desired to get one for one in every of our rescue puppies however mother and I refused to permit him. I have no idea what the deal is with an electric surprise seeming extra humane than spritzing with water. Frankly I might have performed the equal factor with that wannabe breeder. Such entire lack of understanding and omit for dwelling matters is rough to tolerate.
