ever looked in the paper just to see how many funerals you can go to in one week?

In the small towns around me here,people really do just that.people will call and ask...."did you see who died?"true story

OK, I'm obviously sick. In the 70's we use to do that. First you go to the funeral, cry a little, talk about what a good person they were, how they'll be missed. You're an old neighbor or co-worker, then go to the get together afterwards.
All you have to do is act like you belong there. Good food and many times drinks. I even ended up tending bar. This works at weddings too. Even better than in the movies.

Maybe when I was 13, but after that point I had been to more funerals for friends and family than I care to remember. That beautiful, lace screen of novelty of death wore off unfortunately. Its only fun until it starts happening to you. I do check the paper all the time to see if I know anyone who died, then I choose to celebrate or morn.

I scam through the obituaries sometimes, But I can't say I scam them to see if there's any good funerals I can attend. Sounds like a jolly good time though!

I read the obits on a regular basis but no, I do not attend the funerals.

No but at my age I look at the obits every morning before I get out of bed. If I am not listed I get up.

i normally look at the death and funeral notices...but i never intend to go to any of them unless i know the person

why would anyone want to attend a funeral? I don't go unless I have to..
