Is there a test, or anything, that can DETECT muscle trauma?
Say you were punched in the arm and your arm really hurts. Is there a test that can say, "Yes, this muscle had trauma"?

Muscle trauma, is usually known from sensitivity to touch, discoloration, and if severe then a visible dip or area where the muscle appears separated. It is difficult to test with x-ray since the muscles do not always show trauma like that. An mri would be more accurate. Observation is the best test.

Get an x-ray of that arm and it should give you a better picture of what happened .
