Shot to death
In America
by
other Americans.
About 16,500 per year at the lowest estimates.
And many thousands wounded and maimed by gunfire.

Who need enemies when they have fellow citizens like that?

Just think if 80,000 Americans had been killed in Iraq and Afghanistan?

That's the good ole reliable 2nd Amendment for ya.

Of course, that number of 16,500 per year is down from the 21,000 per year under Clinton. So what is your point? I guess Bush caused all firearm deaths in the US too? Just like he caused Hurricane Katrina and global warming?

What's next, is Bush going to kill the Easter Bunny?

But take Bush out of the equation. People kill each other. It is human nature. People have been killing each other since the beginning of recorded time, long before the 2nd amendment. Banning guns will not get rid of human nature, people will just kill each other with knives or baseball bats.

If you do away with the 2nd amendment, the only people left with guns will be the government and criminals. Very scary thought.

human beings throw around the "shot to dying" sort like all gun proprietor is Yosemite Sam with an itchy set off finger. in case you re-examine the numbers and get rid of suicides (thank God they used the gun on themselves instead of somebody else) and regulation enforcement-appropriate shootings, the numbers are exceptionally low. get rid of gun-injuries (irresponsible gun proprietors) and you have have been given a tiny fraction of gun proprietors who easily use their weapons in anger. further, I stay in a state that helps a guy or woman's precise to hold a hid weapon. I even have carried a weapon for some years now and pray I in no way have reason to apply it to shield myself or yet somebody else. as a rely of shown fact that in basic terms a tiny fraction of hid carry holders or weapon creditors ever discharge a weapon at yet another man or woman. So once you're speaking a pair of persons precise to collect and carry weapons being revoked, you're way astray. those are the human beings you prefer donning weapons. a huge share of them have experience donning weapons the two in defense force, regulation enforcement or private protection capacities. additionally, you won't understand this, yet once you're ever caught donning a hid weapon and you're under the effect of alcohol or on drugs, you will bypass to detention center for an extremely long term (varies via state, my state is minimum 5 years). Do the comparable in a automobile on the expressway at 80 miles an hour, and maximum states provides you with some greater opportunities in the previous you spend time in detention center. decide a thank you to take weapons from hoodlums and fogeys who will not be able to shield them and that i think of all responsible gun proprietors can assist it. Peace.

So, now crime and criminals are the fault of the President?

How many murders were committed under Clinton's watch?

Did you know that FBI crime stats actually show violent crime is down nation wide over the past 10 years?

It has nothing to do with the President.

When Clinton was president the gun violence didn't stop.

There are several countries on this planet with the same number of guns per capita as America but nowhere near the gun violence.

The problem isn't guns, it's Americans.

I see that you are not a fan of the 2nd Amendment. I am thankful then, that you have NO power to do anything about it. I have a right to protect my family and myself and I have a gun to do just that. God bless the USA!!

most of them were criminals or related to crime I'm sure. gun control, if that's the tree your barking up, only takes the guns away from law abiding citizens, the criminals are the only ones left with guns. sound like fun to you? punch Australian gun control crime statistics, into a search engine and see how well it's working there. do some research before you jump on the gun control band wagon.

Any stats on how many are NRA members or hold legal licenses to bear arms? If they're available, I'd love to see them.

I'm armed legally and would never shoot another person, unless it was in self defense.

It probably does not differ much from what transpired during the Clinton administration, so it is not at all obvious what the point of this might be.
