Parcheesi was created in 500 BC and dancers in red, green, blue and yellow were used as pawns, and the palace grounds was the board. In the 1500s the game board was made out of cloth and the pieces from ivory. Rich families would have the "board" made in velvet and gold threads. The really rich would make huge ivory boards and use slave girls as pawns. By the 1800s the game is introduced in America. The game itself has changed very little. Only the box itself has change somewhat to keep up with public tastes. The biggest change is that the wooden pawns are now green water buffalos, red tigers, blue elephants and yellow camels, and the board is much more colorful. A classic game for people of all ages.

"Balderdash." It's a game where you are given a word, and every person writes their own definition, and a moderator will read every definition, along with the real definition, and you get points based on if you choose the right one, and how many choose your fake definition. The trick is that the moderator has to avoid smirking at all the fake ones, and know how to keep a poker face. It's a game of intuition, and the first time I played it was the first time I got to test my intuitive skills, which I did not hone until after I left school. The words in the game are usually unusual, but real English words, and they sound funny.

The game really hasn't changed. It is in the public domain so anybody and make and market their own game. The only difference is the spelling of the name of the game. The spelling may be copyrighted.
