I don't see why people should get mad about this. I have friends who are musicians and I love it when they close their eyes on stage. It shows me that they're that much into the music. Ask a musician the same question and you'll get a similiar answer.

Because they don't realize that the singer is putting emotion into their voice.
I noticed that Christina Aguilera, for example, closes her eyes and bends over a certain way a lot when she holds out a note, or reallyreally puts emotion into her voice. And of course, she's a phenominal singer and puts more than what's expected of emotion into her singing.

I don't care about that, as long as they are really singing and not pretending to sing.

I don't like it either, it looks stupid. and they are into their music, but they are paid well and then act like at least pretend they are looking and enjoying the concert, all seasoned enertainers LOOK at the audien. check it out .

I would think that it would probably be because the people want to be noticed.
