my marine tank has been cycling for about 3 weeks now and the readings are as follows PH = 8.0, KH =10.5, nitrite = 0.07, nitrate =12, ammo = 0.05, i know the level of ammonia and nitrite are still unsafe for fish but would a clean up crew survive (just a few turbo snails and hermit crabs) i relise its 2 early for stars the now any help welcome, thnx

I wouldn't risk it. Often Inverts are even more sensitive to water quality than fish. Hold out for just a little longer. You tank should be finished cycling very soon.

That's a risk it could help you or help you, just sit out and let it finish, I personally would not take the risk.

I think they should be fine as long as you constantly check the parameters.
