Hi Cherrie. My ID is Ms. Dell, and I am glad to help you.

HP is distributed all over this please, and the owners who own HP notebooks are the people who said they can't afford better.

Go into Bestbuy and tell me what you see. You'll see HP computers like rice grain.... And their prices are very LOW because their products don't worth the high cost.

Now, go outside in the public and tell me how many Honda Civic and Neon and BMW car you see. Of course you might count like 20 Neons, 15 Honda Civics and 2 BMW in less than 3 minutes... That's right, they're more poor people in this world, and more cheap cars sell.

If you are on a Budget and desperately need a PC, I'd say go with Dell although Dell is a much higher brand than HP.

Facts: The reason more people buy HP is because HP is CHEAP and does not require customers to have excellent credit score. Dell requires customers to have exellent credit scores and such, so people rather choose HP in this case, since many people have bad credit.

HP and Dell use amost the same parts. So when people say HP has better quality hardware, etc, I do nothing but laugh out loud.

The reason Dell is ten times better than HP:

#1 Dell supports a faster CPU

#2 Dell supports a better and more powerful GPU

#3 Dell Customer service has changed and recently won best customer service of the year.

#4 Dell supports both minor and major computing needs.

#5 Dell makes computer from $549 to $6000

Facts about HP

#1 Limited CPU

#2 Limited GPU

#3 Custmer service is not as convenient as most claimed. Hence my cousin has a HP. I don't want to tell you his nightmare here.

#4 HP supports Minor computing needs. However, HP struggles when it comes on to power gaming entertainment and Music Power, such as WATT

#5 HP makes computer from ( I think) $400 to $2000.

If you find a HP computer that costs $6000, let me know.

Here in College our students have top class notebooks, such as Apple, Dell and Sony. I am yet to see one with a HP. But of course we can find many people with HP computers who are teenagers and don't have a well paying job.

Like this guy last week. He came in our class with a Dell XPS M 1710 and everybody was staring at him as if he was Michael Jackson. I got a hold of his notebook, and I am telling you, his notebook is HOT. Sure it is quite expensive. You won't find a BMW or a mercedes Benz for cheap. I am sorry. Want cheap? Get a Neon.

HP makes ugly computers too. The dulled Silver and black. I don't know why people think HP computers are attractive.

Whenever you ask a question about Dell VS HP, you will get more positive answers about HP because they're more POOR people in this world than rich people. They're like 100 Dell users on Yahoo! Answer, while they're like 5000 Hp users, and no one would ever say their notebook sucks.

Honestly, if I were you, i would never buy a HP notebook, unless I could not afford better.

Bottom line,, Dell is better.

HP is way better than Dell.

Dell has it's uses, it's a Low Cost Budget computer, not really designed for anything more than occasional web surfing and fobbing off on your children. HP has a better performance rate by far.

I've had an HP for 7 years going on 8 and it hasn't failed me yet. I've had friends go through 2 to 3 Dells in that time. But honestly it comes down to what you want it for.

Dell -Casual Surfing

HP - More Reliable for more difficult tasks, gaming etc.

Key: Look at the Hardware, not the Name Brand. List out what you need it for, take that list to your local Computer store, and ask them what's best for your needs. Remember, Brands are not custom. So buy what's best for you. But in general HP have a longer life and are more reliable.

i've got had the two a dell and HP computing gadget and that i come across HP extra good, stable and in basic terms usual extra functional. Dell remains stable yet once you purchase a dell i could get something interior the better budget yet that doesn't assure reliability the two.

Hi Ms.Dell My ID is LadyDee, and I am glad to inform you...

I’m a professional with a master’s degree in medical administration with a top dollar paying job who’s the farthest thing from poor yet buys nothing but HP products and get real award winning support. Unlike Dell’s UP FRONT award winning support, after the sale you get immigrants with no computer knowledge what so ever (similar to you) to assist you. I will add you contradicted yourself several times in your answer.
Anyway, I felt so insulted by your arrogance & stupidity that I reported you.

When you learn how to respect others they just might respect you in return.
Now YOU have a great day.

For me yes, i used to have two dells an inspiron 5160 (the wost thing i have ever buy) and a 710 and both gave me problems, my brother has a pavilion for over a year and he doesn't have any complaints, right now i have an Acer aspire for over three months an is working nice. Don't go for a dell call to a pc repair shop and ask how many dell they have fix in the last year and the number is unbelievable.

Anyone who dares say Dell has better tech support then HP is absolutely out of his mind. What is so good about waiting 30-60 min. to get a tech on the phone, then you get a Indian immigrant you can barely understand who relies on a manual for the simplest of questions and might even hang up on you if hes under to much pressure. And im not speaking out of my *** as I once owned a Dell and returned it the same week I received it.

The leader in sales, support and quality products is actually HP (contrary to popular belief)
I will also mention Dell was sued recently for several reasons including deceptive sales practices.

Hello, I would go for Dell, not because they make good computers, but because of their great support and the way they take care of your computer problems in a professional manner. I have Sony Vaio, it is a great computer, but the technical support I get from Sony, is the most poorest support I ever had during my last 20 years of computers use. It takes me weeks to get proper help or may be no help from Sony.

Dell makes great computer according to your need, please follow this link and it will tell you more about their service:

Not really that much, I deal with all of the major brands, failure rates are about the same on all of them.
