thought, "It (socialist dictatorship) can never happen here", when casting their votes last December? Do you think they're regretting it now?

It amazed me to see how many former Pro-Chavez posts have been "resolved" quickly in the last few hours.

Socialism has taken over my party (democrat). HELP!
I believe in free speech (including for republican talk show hosts)!
I believe in free expression (including Christian fundamentalists)!
I believe in equality (not special rights at the expense of those who have earned their money)!

HELP! I do not side with these people! I do not support socialism, or higher taxes, or anti-war (family escaped Islam in the 1950s).

Most of them are protesting. That is how socialism gets a foothold:
1) alienate the people from the government;
2) alienate the people from the military and police;
3) spread unfounded rumors;
4) name-call the other representatives (both sides);
5) convince people that everyone else is stupid for not having your opinions, and dialogue will not help;
6) get into office on a "government is untrustworthy" ticket;
7) pass laws to protect people from themselves;
8) pass laws to give people things they haven't earned by taking from the rich;
9) turn the people against the rich;
10) make them believe they are poor and suffering (everyone is, even if they are the richest poor and suffering in the world);
11) then when the rich have left the country, and no one is left to defend it, start shutting down the opposition's free speech.

Sounds familiar? Is this you? Have they one your heart already?

I've chosen sides in WWIII. Socialism and Islam are on one side. Which side are you on, folks?

(Dear, if I've gone off the deep end and totally ruined your post, one email from you and I'll delete what you wish).

If they are smart then they won't protest. Only bad things will happen with that. I hope that the price of oil falls drastically so that we can see him hung upside down and whacked like the bloated pinata that he is.

government censorship is never a good thing. Jimmy Carter did certify and approve his election though.
