There is only one candidate.

The next Prime Minister will be Gordon Brown.

If you are talking about how will be the next leader of Labour, that will be Gordon Brown. If you are talking about who will win the next general election, please tell me when it will be.

It is probably several years until the next general election. Anything can happen over that time period. If you had told me just before the Conservatives showed Margaret Thatcher the door that the Conservatives would win the next general election, I would have said that it was not possible. At this point, Mr. Brown has around two years to show the country that he deserves a full term as Prime Minister. If not, the Conservatives will be back in power.

We don't have candidates for Prime Minister. We vote for our local representative and the leader of the party with the most MPs is the PM. The next PM will be Gordon Brown as he's the only candidate for leader of the Labour Party.

Labour and Gordon Brown. The Tory party is coming across as a bunch of chancers who will grasp at any straw to get in.

The Lib-Dems need to enter into a coalition with another party in order to get Ministerial experience.

Frank D (Who votes Tory. Hope over experience)

Sadly. David Cameron. Labour have done themselves in big time. Lots of people don't seem to like either, Tony Blair or Gordon Brown of Labour, David Cameron nor Menzies Campbell. But people like David Cameron more if it came to the crunch.

Sigh! Good to see such a few have a reasonable grasp of the British constitution. Sad to see so many don't.

The conservatives should walk into power with this governments reputation, but unfortunately they're just not taking advantage of the situation. They should be ripping labour apart at every opportunity, but David Cameron just isn't the man to do it.

Basically they are all as bad as one another. remember Brown wrecked company pension schemes by increasing tax levels. The others are all tarred with the same brush so why worry the Country is finished anyway
